Restraint, take it you are on about Gailardia 1 rather than 2?! After the king says talk to assistant go back and talk to guard again and he should let you through. You need the boat to get gold key, the aluminium ore you are after is used to make it, by engineers in port town. We are all noobs once!

Black Pearl is somewhere west of Romario.

Romario was wiped out in Gailardia 2, but there is a location call Romario Shrine. Look west of there. (Small Island)
