There's a silver key, gold key, and cell key. (Found in that order.)

Trying to get device to get through desert. Which direction in order is the way to go

You'll need the compass which is found in the cave by Howard castle. Then you can just walk due east to get through the desert.

Thanks David but in the cave once I go down the stairs and get to the big room keep going in circles and end up in big room.have not come across anything or anyone to find which way to go.could use your help.

I never found any clues for that either. After a bunch of trial and error I did this: I went West, East, Top East, Top East. It's been so long ago though I don't even remember how I figured it out. (And no, there's no Truth Stone this time.)
