Can't believe this keep going in circles.. Probably simple but just can't find right way to go for the damn compass.... very frustrating

Ok, start in the room where the stairs are before the maze. Go into the maze room and go to the door on the left. Immediately go back to the right and go to to top of the room and go in the door on the top right. Do that one more time and you should be good.

Tried lighting 3 horns light the clues said but nothing happens when I do this though...any ideas

You have to light them in a certain order and then extinguish them with the Artic Crystal in a certain order. The order for each is given in a shrine. One is by Elisa and the other is in the North somewhere, but I don't remember exactly where. Or you could just try all 8 combos for each. :)
