Please could some one tell me HOW to work out the code I have seen and got everything but how do you work it out

Some clues for solving the code:
Triangle: think of the numbers on the wall as a calender..29th of may + 10 days= 6th June. This should help u get the triangle.
Square: tennis points, 0, 15, 30,....
Cirlcle: the number of letters in the sentence. but John changed to George remember??

Heeelllllpppp!!! Although I tried the code 216403 several times on the safe, i keep receiving the following reply: "You need a 6-digit code to open the safe". It seems that the LCD screen on the safe, cannot display correctly the numbers i entered and as a result when I'm done the second digit of the code is missing. Could anyone help me with this???? Thanx a lot!

To work out the code, the < and the > symbols on either side of the circle and the square represent a broken triangle.
The triangle is found by solving the dates (march 20 plus 23 days = 12 April, or 412)
So if circle is 16 (using George instead of John and counting the characters)
And square is 40 (0,15,30,40)
Then solution of half triangle plus circle plus square plus half triangle is 2,16,40,3 or 216403.
To get the key just click on the floor next to the bin, you don't need to do anything to the bin itself.

Alex Greece, not sure what u are doing wrong- the safe displays 6 LCD positions.
To enter the digits Select the 'change number' button until the button on the right shows the number you want. Select the number. Then continue changing the numbers and selecting them until you enter the combination *216403*

That date one is hard for English, we have our dates the other way round!! Don't view it that way with the numbers!! Wrong way round!
